I have recently been teaching myself how to create dynamic components - "teaching myself" because I have found it very difficult to find tutorials on the web or in books. The books usually have a single chapter on the subject which dive straight in at the deep end. The result is that I usually "reverse engineer" sample dynamic components to try and work out how they work.

Consequently I have decided to write a blog, a step-by-step tutorial on how to create dynamic components from the start. It helps me as well since I find the best way to learn something is to teach it.

The blog link is The SketchUp Dynamic Components Tutorial. Hopefully it will be useful for those who want to learn to make their own.

Great idea. I hope more people can get started in DC's as a result! Thanks!
