Array Object Around Ellipse
-
Hey all.
I'm trying to copy an object around an ellipse. I have a vertical component (a mullion) that I'm trying to wrap around an ellipse at a certain spacing. I know how to array an object around a circle, but I'm not sure how to do it for an ellipse when there is no consistent radius.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
Edit. I know how to Copy Along Path --> Copy To Spacing and enter a set spacing. What I'd like to do is divide the arc into a set amount of equal parts and then place a component at each newly created point. The problem is, if I use Copy Along Path --> Copy To Path Nodes, I can't seem to select multiple paths, so then it only copies for one "segment", giving me just two components instead of moving around the entire arc. Hope this makes sense.
Thanks!

The issue you are having is easily fixed by welding your segments together to form one 'Path'.
There are various welding tools, Tig Weld, Curvizard or plain old Weld are just three that spring to mind.
So however you go about getting the correct number of segments afterwards remember to join them together so that other tools will see them as a path.
