Yes!
Maybe your problem comes from the Windows' Path Install!
During the Install there is a button for change the Path Plugin!
(not possibility for me to use it, maybe that was because I was not yet registered)
In any case I don't use it and all was installed like a charm! And at the end you must registered even using the free version, because you have the interface but all icons are not clickable!

How does this tool differ from Artisan or SubD? Or am I missing something completely?
-
They all have different features and results. I don't think there is a subdivide in Amorph that is really the same sort of thing as the other two, but it has some nice functions. It also is in a different price range. I occasionally look at it and then never buy it. I would find some tools in it VERY handy though.
I am not an expert in this, but you might look at the parametric or control features of each, the reversibility or lack thereof, the type of mesh created, and, of course, the various special tools in each package.

Thanks for the reply.
I want to start learning how to use tools like these and still wondering where and how is the best place to start. I have not needed/used and of these tools in the modeling I have done to date. I have the same dilemma when trying to figure out how/where to start with rendering.

Hi,
The best way to get familiar with the tools is to download trial versions and play with them.Quad based and Tgi3d upsample tools are quite different. You will initially get pleasant and unpleasant surprises in all the increase resolution tools. In my opinion the real art and challenge is to create models with minimum number of polygons.
To get an idea which path tgi3d took you can watch the video at

tgi3d is like low poly rhino/nurbs modeling ;more like drawing
