    Hi all,

I’m new here and looking for some help.
I would like to use Sketchup to make architecture scale models that I can export to DXF and cut on my Laser.
The problem is the brick pattern …
I cannot use the fill tool because the pattern is not exported to the DXF files.
So I need to draw a vector brick pattern on to the wall segments.
I was wondering if there is any dynamic component that I can use for this, or maybe even make one myself …

It needs to be able to set a scale and then fill a shape (wall segment) with bricks, avoiding the windows, doors, etc …
After that I need to be able to make small adjustments to make sure bricks are nicely spaced out at windows, doors and wall endings.

    Any help would be great

        Hi Goga63,

That looks like a nice component, but not really what I need...
In my case I need the componnent to draw the bricks in the 2D view (top view).
I even don't need to count for the mortar space, sins the laser wil engrave out that space between the bricks.

        Thanks anyway!

I'm not sure if this will do what you need but there's a 15 day free trial...http://extensions.sketchup.com/en/content/oob-layouts
Otherwise why not make the pattern from within a CAD program. I'd imagine most packages have a pattern function.
