PNG Plant transparency issue

I have created tufts of grass by importing a png that has some transparency and rotating copies radially. When I place them in the model from some angles the plants behind pop to the front visually.
In this image the plans on the left are reading properly but the ones on the right are bad. any thoughts?

Have you edited the transparency within SU, that can make things look wrong. A PNG with a transparent background is different to a transparent PNG.
Also it seems to be caused by looking at the back faces, try flipping them to see if that is the problem.
If you upload the model someone should be able to see what is going on.
I suggest it isn't a Bug! -
