3D Spruce/fir

After a long break from sketchup I decided to do something for this Christmas.

I am not entirely happy about the result but I will but some more time into it to make it more natural and realistic.
It has ~10mil edges, ~4mil faces, ~26k components.

Wow! That would have crashed my PC.
Looks great!
-
wow 4 million faces!! You can reduce that 100-200 fold by using a PNG of the needles. Does look great though!

Thx!
Well I wanted to make a 3D model of a tree without any 2d faces and so I made this.
4mil faces might be a slight overkill
but I wanted to see if I can make a full 3D tree.I expected sketchup to crash when I got over 1-2 million faces but I managed far more before sketchup crashed 1st and 2nd time.
It was really laggy but it was all visible in viewport.

nice modelling...so now make a forest with it in sketchup

-
70 million faces?! hahaha that's crazy!
-
WOAH. I'm working on a MUCH lighter Christmas tree right now, with a tree builder. THAT is amazing.
-
I made a smaller version that looks more realistic. It also has a lot less faces.

-
now you need to model the presents!
-
Haha true. Hopefully I can decorate it before it's new year.
Edit: I managed to add something.
I need a day or 2 to decorate it completely but yeah... being lazy is not helping or the large amount of ideas for models.

Where did the picture go?

Pictures are not visible?
