Clockwork Tinkerbell

Oh wow.
-
I really like this. I can not wait to see it polished.
-
Great start, I wanna see it animated.
-
Pete, when you said animated I though, Hmmm yeah that would be nice, now I have thought about if for a while and the idea of how many frames and tiny movements would be needed to have the figure moving, the wings flapping and the mechanism turning is driving me to drink, it's a very short drive tho.
-
Really neat, thanks for showing rendered and sketchup output.
-
I had some time free this morning, so here's another pair in an action shot.
Thanks to Cotty for the box.She has fully ball jointed shoulders and wings now, but still a long way to go.
-
Willl be fun 2D animation with the free Algodoo!
Of course you can re-insert your all SU gears in one time as PNG image with transparent background!

Very cool, Box.
-
Thanks Bryan,
it has moved on a bit since then, but I don't have much time at the moment. Not sure if anyone is particularly interested in how it changes, but here it is yet again.
-
While I'm not sure about the detail of the mechanisms, I can clearly see the face and hair has changed and looks significantly better.
-
I'm gradually getting to some of the details as and when I have time.
-
It's quite amazing to see the subtle progression of the modelling you do. The rough push pulls and blocky layouts changing to sculpted forms is fascinating. Someone mentioned above about seeing it animated, personally I would love to see the modelling process animated, to see the increments of change would be fun. It's nice too that you have shown it in a variety of ways, it makes it fun rather than a serious job.
-
Thanks Cunning, I rarely get to work on this in a consistent manner, usually a bit here and a bit there while doing something else, so recording it would be impossible.
It's one of those projects that just develops over time, I like to work that way as the end result is normally totally different from what you would get if you sat down and just did it in one go. -
That's spectacular Box! How did I miss this! Crazy detail!
-
Cheers Oli, it's a bit of fun.
-
Wow. It just gets better and better.
-
I discovered an interesting feature of Twilight. When you do a Clay render, Architectural Glass retains its properties. Makes for a quite a different image.
-
Very cool. Nice scene as well.
-
very cool!
-
