Drawing skis on sketchup
-
Hi!
I'm Allan living in switzerland and I build homemade skis. I use sketchup to draw the shape of my skis but I just don't manage to give them the volume I want and to give them the camber the should have....
-You know the tip/ tail are thicker than the center of the ski... How can I manage to do that?
- Let's say we find a solution to the first point... Now I would like to give the camber to this plane ski.... How should I process?
Thanks you for your tips!
Allan
EDIT:
Like you said, with a picture it will be easier to describe What I want
-
A few pictures would make it justice.
You can draw the side profile, then push&pull it . Then draw the top profile and intersect it with the shape you previously created .
-
Model the same way you built, it will be obvious.

Create the normal flat board then use Shape bender to create the camber !
-
Post that model and I'm sure you will get help.

As a person that has no clue, the profile is the z shape, the outline is what? and the camber is the x y shape?
Am I wrong here?
-
The camber is the curvature of the side profile, the core is the longitudinal middle section and the outline is the top profile.
As I said in my first posts. Intersect the profiles and run shape bender.

I would like to thank all of you!
