I've rendered a whole animation in frames, and need to convert them to movie (i.e. .avi format)
also to speed up rendering , reduced frame rate to 12.
now used Virtual dub to interpolate "in-between" frames, but I am not able to re-time the whole movie
and also the output file is too heavy and not easy to handle.
1- is there any other more user friendly Dubbing software, (free or shareware)
2- is there any way to do my job using Virtual dub?

      Thank you forward

To reduce the file size, it is helpful to choose a proper video codec, e.g. http://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/

I use QuickTime for this. Its only $20 for the full pro version. So its not free, but its not super expensive either. Its extremely easy to use and makes high quality videos without messing up the color.

I've used VirtualDub on the PC and it seems to work fine. You should be able to do everything you need with it. As cotty wrote, make sure you choose the right codec.
