Push-Pull trouble in SketchUp

Having trouble using push pull tool on this drawing. Everything went well while making this drawing, but suddenly I can't use the push pull tool on anything. Even if I create a new shape, and carefully stay on axis, it doesn't turn grey, and will not respond to the tool. Shapes within the drawing, which I was able to edit before, are now un-editable. I suspect I've somehow wandered off the main axis (is that possible?). What am I doing wrong?

You've set it to wireframe. So there are no surfaces to push.
Go, View/Face style/ and choose anything other than wire frame.

Thanks, Box. Knew it was something simple. Didn't see anywhere in tutorials, etc. that wireframe would keep the tool from working. One of those "Duh" moments.
