As school starts up again here (at least in the US) I am busily advocating for more creative use of sketch-up and sketchy physics at our local high school. After much prompting the district has installed 2000 laptops with the "make version" 2013 and I am wondering if it is worth the fight to promote sketchy physics' (warts and all) installation. Has anyone done any comparison testing for sketchy physics running on Sketchup 8 and Sketchup 2013? I haven't given up the discussion to get them to take advantage of Trimble's generous K12 partnership program for Pro but I need to pick my discussions carefully.

As far as I could work with Sketchy Physics in Sketchup 2013 I can say that they don't work together. Crashes all over it is not working properly .
As I have heard version 7 worked the best then version 8 .
And it seems that no one is doing any upgrades to it.
        Maybe someone knows better !

There is known flakiness in SP in all SUp versions, some causing crashes with other legit tools.
Its author has said he was doing an update [long overdue].
I suggest that lovers of SP nag him direct by PM or email... 😒

A cool solution is use SketchyPhysics alone! ☀
So make a folder Plugins with it alone inside
Of course your must rename normal Plugins folder temporally 😄

Is beautiful that please without concept!

With the new [impending] version [v1.3~] of the SketchUcation 'Plugins Manager' you will be able to make 'Sets'.
Then you could have a SketchyPhysics Set and an Everything-Else Set, and toggle between them, you just need to restart SketchUp and you are sorted for whatever 'Set' you desire - no need to copy folders etc...

Awesome! Thanks everyone. For now I will finally get a chance to play around with Layout and then use that as the selling tool once the 8 free hours of the pro tools. In Wisconsin in middle and high school that is generally used by students to make one more 3d version of Lambeau Field though I presume in Manchester UK, Paris FR or Denver CO it might be a different stadium.

AS can I know, SkechyPhisics dosen´t work on SU2013 Pro.
I have a license and I check it, but any time that I try to run the plugin Sketchup2013 crashes, one after another time.

Well, to be more splicit, I am habing problems with several prugins and SU2013 that I haven´t with SU8.

I read that Trimble (or anyonelse) are cooking a new versión.

Was a very sad experience to feel how Trimble forget us, after a nice payment for a Pro license of 2013.

This is the behabiour that we can expect from SU2013/Trimble?

                    I hope to be wrong
