How do you get the color used for faces in a layer when displaying color by layer?

There is currently no way to get the Layer color via the Ruby API I'm afraid.

AdamB did moot something that came to naught.
A way back I made some clunky API additional like
layer.color[Pro>DXF] BUT that exports all layers and analyzes the layers colors from the DXF...A really convoluted way BUT you do get the layer color RGB values !
