Layer plugin by Didier

I just installed the layer manager plugin and am experiencing a problem that I hope someone can help me with.
Using the plugin I created a new layer and set the visibility to display on the current scene. Now for some reason when I click on all the other 20 scenes, practically all the layers are visible. Its as if the plugin has overwritten the layer visibility setting. I have over 30 layers and it is a pain in the neck to go through each scene.
Has anyone else experienced the same? I really like this plugin and want it to work.
