maxwell standalone render
i think, the problem is by the "Use Instances". how can i activate them. i can not find it in the export. -
you can find it on the "output settings" tab

Maybe you have to press the little down-arrow key on top to activate the advanced mode (not sure if these are hidden in standart, i always use advanced). But normally turning instances on or of should make no difference for the grass. This only controls how the sketchup components and groups are treated on export. The grass will be generated automatically before the voxelisation and doesn't depend on these settings. You only have to disableinstances if you have a component with grass goups included or you will only get one of them generated:

Grass is not currently inherited by instances in Maxwell, so keep that in mind: given multiple instances of a particular component, where that component contains groups with grass applied, grass will only be seen on the export for the definition, unless Use Instances is disabled.

To get grass to show up in your renders, for the standalone plugin, you will need to start Maxwell Fire & go to Engine Settings and set Extensions to Enabled.
