2013 Section Cut creates plane object

After creating several elevation scenes of my model I start cutting sections. Then I noticed in my elevation scenes there is a grouped object plane where the now turned off section line was. Is this new to 2013? I don't remember SU8 have this. I put the section cut plane on a layer to control visibility but the group plane line is still there. I have to select it and put on the section cut layer
