Sketchup Free export DWG
-
Hi,
Does anyone know a way to export DWG or DXF files from sketchup free. I understand you need the pro version for this; but I wondered if anyone knew any freeware or cheaper applications that could maybe read in a .dae or .stl and produce a 2D drawing; or if there were any decent sketchup plugins? I've searched and searched and can't find anything! I downloaded doubleCAD, which will import my model, but I'm not sure that will convert 3D to 2D!
Thanks
Pete

Give Doublecad xt (free) http://www.doublecad.com a try, it can open a SKP an save as DWG or DXF

Thanks for replies guys. I have meshlab and doubleCAD. I'm still trying to work through the documentation on DoubleCAD to see if it can convert from a 3D drawing. I didn't realise that meshlab could do that - do you know the process per chance?
Thanks

Seems I have written all the process on my previous post?
