Layout Preference

Hello everyone,

I'm a new Layout user and just purchase the book from Michael Brightman, the sketchup workflow for architecture. I was just following some of the books instruction and it seems i am having some problem with Edit/preference. With FOLDER - it does not reflect when saving a template, General every time i open a new file or use a template it keeps on checking the re-render sketchup model and thirdly is the shortcut preference looks corrupted...it has 3 3/layers, 3 /pages, 3/pattern fill, 3/instructor, 3 /colors, 3/shape style, and a lot of other which is usually not in the shortcut preference. Some of the Shortcut preference where remove also.

I have remove and re install 5 times, reset up shortcuts and others, downloaded from Trimble 2 times.
I can still work but Is this normal?
