Exporting 2D PDF and Print Freezes up Sketchup - Need Help

I have always had problems when I export larger files to a 2D pdf file. These look great when the export well and I like to use them for presentations over screen shots that I often default to when I have issues. I recently started also trying to "print" to a pdf. Seemed to be a little better but still on the larger files I am working with I just get the pin wheel spinning forever.

Using a MacBook Pro
Sketchup 8 pro

I use a lot of the plugins that smooth corners and have wondered if that is making the geometry too complex.

Any help greatly appreciated as I am trying to get a presentation completed today to send to a client first thing tomorrow morning.
