      If you feel SketchUp being to limited for you, maybe you should try Excel.
      Wait, did I say Excel, like in Microsoft Excel?

              Although not of the same caliber or this guy's art, before LayOut I did all my designing, plan presentation and even elevations with MS WORD, every single line!

              Even the little isometric view on the bottom of the Balmoral page!
