Hello everyone. I've been searching around for a bit and couldn't really find what I was looking for, not even sure if it's possible. My question is: Is there anyway to link an object, like a car model, to an excel document sheet or website page?

Backstory: I work at a car dealership and just for fun I made a 3d model of our store. I used to dabble in engineering/architecture back in the day and just recently discovered sketchup. That got me thinking about using sketchup to control our inventory on our lot. I've made a design for our store and our parking lot filled with cars. Is there any way to link each individual car to our webiste link or information that I could put in an excel dock?

I would like to use it to better keep track of our inventory, kind of like a virtual inventory thing. No idea if sketchup can do this, but just wanted to ask you guys here to see if something like this would be possible! Would appreciate any kind of response on this

That's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for! Was having some issues with an error, but I searched out a fix.

Thank you very much for the help. I've been wanting to mess around with something like this for a while.

Another question regarding linking/naming an object. Is it possible to name certain objects and then search for them in your model? I've been reading through online guides but all this stuff is just getting jumbled up in my head 😞

This can be done inside Outliner (Window/Outliner).

Useful only if you have rename objects with pertinent names and not something like Object01
