      Hi everyone,

      Nice to be here!

I love using groups in Sketchup, because I love keeping my models organized. And since I model, among other things, urban areas, I love using the "Add location" feature that imports pictures directly from GEarth into SU model.

One thing that bothers me however is that when I edit a component in a group, my GEarth map textures will automatically fade away, and so I won't be able to use them to adapt my component... In brief, I wish I could deactivate the automatic fade in SU8 (I have the impression that it wasn't that automatic before, but I could be wrong)...

To make this more explicit, here is a mockup model architecture:

      • Households

      • House 1

      • House 2

      • Map (no jpeg import: photo texture)

When I select House 1, Map will fade away to a greenish texture...

Thanks for your replies and ideas!

      Arthur
