      Here:

I've been trying to create on for a while, I don't know how well this one will work on a well lit scene. Critiques on the mat requested, I'm trying to get it just right.

I'm afraid that link is not helpful. Although I am a Thea member. It just logged me in to the forum index.

For me it seems to work ok, but you need to be logged in.

I see, log in, then use the link.

That's a nice material. Can the dark specks be made to shine (metal flake)? I have a dark metal flake paint on my car and it only looks like anything in bright sunlight. Sorry I am not a materials specialist. Learning bit by bit myself.

I'm no genius when it comes to making mats/texturing, it's by far my most deficient area. As far as adjusting it, you can increase the roughness, increase the bump, and/or change the size of the noise texture used to create the bump. These will all affect how "smooth" the flake looks and how much flake there is in the .mat. Change the color of the two lower layers to change the color of the paint.
