Who gave you the advice? We probably could have recommended some tried and tested devices.
The lower the resistance, the more intense and fiery the vapour will be at that voltage.
Try coils in the 1.5 to 1.8 ohm range. This is more like a cigarette experience, you take it into your mouth and draw back again. Some of the low resistance and sub ohm devices require direct lung inhale and it really isn't for everyone. I prefer my Kayfun with 1.6-1.8ohm coil at between 6-8watts. Pure flavour and smooth.

I'm aware of these settings, didn't work for me. It is drinking not smoking.
Such settings made me almost quit e-cig.
A continuous wet frrr frrrr, mouth full of liquid. Not for me. A friend of mine, using similar settings, has no issues.
The way I'm using coil at 1.6, 1.8 Ω : above 12, probably 15 watts.
On a coil ~0.5 Ω, above 20 watts.
Keep in mind, I hate lung inhale.
Probably I'm after something closer to pipe smoking? Halo "longhorn" flavor is also closer to pipe tobacco. Somehow… I'm back on the game.

After all, it's your choice but, trust me, you will give up so much more. I'm talking about benefits, and it's all related to health. C'mon, you have GG there, you have E-Cig liquids there. Try Ace N1 flavour from E-Cig. It's the best tobacco flavour I've had...ever!

yes it is quite personal....but you need to at least find something that's not flooding. Happy days when you find something you like.

More clouds Rich. Different taste...I wouldn't say its better. It's like a shisha pipe. Relaxing.
You have to do direct lung inhale; some people like it some people don't. It definitely won't replace my normal vape because I prefer mouth to lung type drags like a cigarette.
You need really low nicotine liquid if you are going to try one.
For me it just makes a nice change.

Yeah! Very popular gig these days. Check out this guy; he is running a 0.2 ohm coil. It's insane! The battery is like, almost in short. Kids.....anyway, it was a beautiful evening.

Which leads me onto the problem with sub ohm devices; they produce so much vapour it's almost obnoxious! They make a nice change for home use but I could not use it in public, people would just stare! It's not very discrete IMO, funny as hell though.

Yeah big clouds are an "at home" setup IMO.
Obnoxious, unnecessary, loud and attention-seeking. Definitely not for public use!
I had to get one to see what the fuss was about. It's definitely not an improvement, it's just different. I'm not a huge fan of lung inhales either. It just makes a nice change when I get used to a certain flavour.
Stick to whatever keeps you off the stinkies Rich. It doesn't matter what you vape as long as it's consistent.
Pete if you want less clouds go for an 80/20 PG/VG or maybe even 90/10.

As an experienced smoker (more than a decade who gave it up finally because of pancreas problem), it is a long while that I have an eye on this topic and as remember we had a private chat few years ago with Gai to start such a topic ( it was before this topic starts).
And also we were thinking about the idea of gathering all the saved somewhere and spend it on sort of charity.
Any suggestion, supporting idea? etc?
