Amazing Graphic Work
-
Holy shit! amazing.
So much work went into both the cover and the glass, a true talent and a lost art.
-
It always makes me smile when someone refers to a normal day for me as a lost art.
He does nice work but he is far from alone.

Thanks Dave. Great video and artist. A very worthwhile life's work.
Also something to remember. Holding full-size album art in your hands, the sound of the needle at it first lands on your latest acquisition.
P.S. Such people also deserve credit for keeping these things from becoming a "lost art".

When I see amazing work like this I waver between two feelings: despair and challenge. Having done my best over the years I've come to realize that, try as I might, I am not an artist, thus losing the opportunity to realistically address challenge. I'm left with despair. But life's too short for that. So I accept a third alternative, resignation to continue to do the best I can, accept the things that I can't do, and admire and enjoy the work of those artists that can.

Well said, Bob James.
And thank you, Dave Richards.

Old-fashioned design!

WOW!!!, Thanks Dave, I come from the old school, prior to digital style artwork, and really appreciated this.

Does this style have a name?

Hi folks.
While at incredible pieces of art and craftmanship, see this:
I had the chance to see a few of these incredible sphere in an exposition held here in Montreal and I was simply baffled when I figured out how it was possible to create these. The article linked above explain it.
I also found a video on youtube showing that the innermosr spheres can revolve independently but the cameraman did not use a macro lens so the focus is poor at close range. See it here:

Just ideas.

Hoppefully now all these can be made in 3D Print!
Elephants say Thank you 3D Print!

The mammoths probably don't care, though. I think they're finished using their ivory.

Great artist! Another lost art saved.
