You're far too modest Tadema... Your modeling is top notch all the way.

Well, I think it's time we started a petition to officially make John the Grand Master/King/Pope/President/All-Around-Top-Dude of Sketchup.

Really really nice...all of your work has this wonderful style and feeling to it that is really unique!

This is an actual stuffed toy for sale on the web. Called "Splodge the Hedgehog dead cute road kill", and he can be yours for only $39.95. His sides are zippered so you can have his innards either in or out. Comes with a little body bag.

That's sweet, Steve.
John, Great truck. What is you organic modeling approach? Plugins? Not?
Reminds me of a certain little Dodge 41 weapons carrier that was the muckraker on the farm where I lived in my younger years. "Tinkerbell" pulled some huge rocks and numerous stumps for us. With a granny gear that positively craaaaawled, pretty unstoppable. Thanks for posting! Awesome work.

Thanks everyone.
Peter the plugins I used were TIG's fantastic extrusion tools, round corner and pipe along line.
A few more models....

Excellent!

fantastic, John. There are some radial lines on the truck's wheel rims.
-
Oh my gosh, stop it already! You're killing us! Those look really great
-
Nice change of pace. Still nostalgic, still great to see. Great work again!

Er... er....

i hate you

Yeah, John should be forced to model with his hands inside pillows. Either that or post YT videos of his speed-modeling.

Thanks everyone, there's no secret here I can only click a mouse at the same speed as anyone else. Daniel don't look so closely . Jeff, wouldn't it be great to go back in time when the world was at a more sedate pace....now isn't fast enough anymore.
Here's the Jeep model if anyone wants it. saved as ver 6

John, thanks for sharing, that's great! I think a particular skill you have is knowing the right thing to detail to make the whole look right. That and your texturing. Can you show us, or maybe you already did in another thread, how it is you make your distressed textures. That's really what sells it for me - your realistic "dirty" textures.
-
Hey John
It is a pleasure for the eye and mind.
Never miss to follow your job.

Hope you don't mind, John, just couldn't resist having some fun with your excellent jeep

Hello Andy, the dirt was applied with a pen in PS as it's a lot faster than maps. There's a small tut here http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=46275&hilit=caterpillar
I'm not sure if I have any screen capture software I will have to check.
Thank you Simon.
Steve....what can I say about that brilliant. We should see Pete, maybe he could alter the render challenge to modify and render, I would supply the models.John
