      Dear SketchUp community,

I have developed a plugin where Excel and SketchUp are automated. Component information from Excel is fed to SketchUp and after performing functions on the components this data can be then fed back to Excel. I need some serious experienced sketchup developers to test this out and I just wanted to see how this plugin would be received in the community. You can contact me for information.

Within the file are enclosed an Excel Worksheet, an encrypted ruby file and a brief manual.

P.S. This is a beta version not all functionalities work as they are supposed to.

      Faraz,

I don't really have time to commit to beta testing at the moment, but I have written some articles on general things to beware of when developing SketchUp plugins:

This sounds very good. I'd like to see an example of what it does exactly. If you do a "Excel" search you will find there has definately been interest in this sort of plugin.

would it be convenient to enlarge the use of the plugin to openoffice spreadsheets?

The library does not support Open Office. Perhaps something to look in to for the future.
