A quick Maxwell render for a Theater Neon Sign Renovation. Thought it came out great

Just some thoughts. . .I would probably swap out the Camaro and the SUV for some vintage cars. Likewise the people.
And when I got to a retrospective theater, my favorite is
Errol Flynn in Robin Hood. 1938

Looks good to me. From the sound of the original post, it's a render for a real project so would make sense to see it as it would be today no? Vintage for fun is cool too.

Its a complete restoration of an old community theater. The client is having the sign completely rebuilt at a cost almost $200,000, as well as the interior completely renovated to original colors and specifications. An exciting project to say the least

Looks good. A few thoughts:

I think your right to stick with contemporary cars, people: it's a modern-day restoration, and you want to show how it will look today, not yesteryear (it would be nice to compare it to a historic photo, though).

Model the adjacent buildings, for context, and so your image doesn't look incomplete.

I believe the marquee sign letters are missplaced. Typically, those horizontal lines (over the white back-lit panel) are external plastic or metal frames, and the letters are painted on clear acrylic panels that slip into those frmaes. See image below. That would make the letters clearer to read.

I think the image is cropped too short at the bottom.
Nice looking project. Hope you have better luck with codes people than I did on the last theatre restoration I worked on

Unfortunately it was a 4 day project for everything start to finished renders (interior and exterior) modeling from CAD design plans, hence the focus on just the important areas and elimination of any unnecessary modeling. I plan to finish it on my own time just because of the uniqueness of the project. The original photo from the 1940's?? was included for reference, find it attached below.
The letters are physical letters that clip onto the bars, modeled directly from the shop drawings, not my decision but the clients
On a positive note the project meets all codes and the sign is being constructed starting this week. Excited for taking photos of the finished sign to compare.

I know you have to show it in today's context. I was just playing along . .. feeling nostalgic.
I gotta say tho'. .. if your client sticks to just running the Monte Cristo picture. . .he's gonna lose his shirt.

The four day time-line is no excuse - you only need four hours of sleep a day.
Looks like a perfect match to the historic photo.

Thanks for all the props, I enjoy architectural rendering and couldn't do it without the great plugins, this community, and of course Sketchup. The biggest reason for using Maxwell is I cannot for the life of me get the Vray plugin to render 2 point perspective with the views that I set up. Anybody know how to do that?

There should be a two-point option under the Sketchup camera tab. Aside from that, just make sure you don't have any lens shift in your Vray camera settings. Awesome project, by the way!
