Pro model very slow

Hello,
I'm using skethcup pro on a windows 7 system. My model gets very slow and I couldn't work with it (even creating a new layer would result in program not responding...) I uninstalled and reinstalled the program but it didn't solve the problem. Does anyone have clue what's wrong?
Any help would be great!

How many geometry is in that model? Or is it indepentent of a specific model?
