How someone can close this structure???

Hey everybody, im having an issue with the design of a building of a friend of mine... She gave me the basic structure of the building, to see if i can model the skin of the building on, but i've two days trying to do it with plugins and stuff and havent find anything usefull... I'm getting crazy here
, if i can make the skin, work on the curved surface its easy for me, but create this one, thats another story.... Here is a pic of the estructure.

I think it could be a task for one of TIGs extrude tools (maybe Extrude Edges by Loft?). Are you allowed to share that model?
