      Hi,

This isn't really a bug issue, but...

I'm trying to export SU models to 2D images, but keep each object on a separate layer.

PDF sort of works, but it merges all objects onto one layer when placed into Illustrator or Photoshop. Since I'm using a Mac, I can't do the Windows OS function of retaining SU layers when I export 2D graphic - PDF.

My ideal workflow would be... Begin w/ a SketchUp model (maybe 10 components), with each component on it's own layer, then export as a pdf, retaining all layers, then placing the layered pdf in Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop, again retaining all layers.

I've tried exporting .jpg, .tiff, etc. Only .pdf or .eps look good when imported into AI or PS.

I've also looked at the "export by layer" ruby script by TIG, but as a newbie, it's over my head.

      Any suggestions?

Could you post one of the pdf's you've been able to make so far? Are you exporting out of Layout or SketchUp?

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.
