BuildEdge PLAN for Mac Available (Beta)
-
Hi all,
After a whole lot more work on our part than we were expecting, we have (mostly) finished the Mac port of buildEdge PLAN!
You can download your own Beta copy of BuildEdge PLAN here: http://www.buildedge.com/PlanMacBeta.htm.
There are one or two issues that we know about and are working through. The first being an issue with cursors. In order to get PLAN to load, you will need to turn on "Enable access for assistive devices" in Accessibility (via System Preferences).
Please grab a copy, load it on your Mac and let me know what you think!
Thanks!

for now,
It ran and did't crash my mac, so that's a good start.
It can be a little 'laggy' at times and does flash the screen between some actions, but you don't appear to be using a standard 'WebDialog' which may be the cause.

Is it only for Mountain Lion?

I've trying it out on Lion seems to work well with the exception that when I orbit with the MMB the curser stays as orbit tool instead of returning to the pen or pencil icon. I can still make walls just the icon doesn't return to original. ???

Moving to Mountain Lion was/is one of the 'Best' improvements for most of the apps I use, including SketchUp.
I lost a couple of small utilities, but can either do what they did natively now or they have been updated to ML.
It's worth upgrading.

@ John Would have liked to upgrade to ML but my 1st gen Mac pro wasn't able to upgrade had something to do with 64 bit I guess. The Mac pro was a hand me down for free so I really can't complain.

Hi all!
We have been developing/testing primarily on Mountain Lion. We have done some testing on Lion, and have not seen huge issues, but we cannot guarantee that it will work 100% on Lion.
As for the cursors (having the orbit or arrow cursor while drawing, for example), this is an issue in either version fo OS that we are working on.
Please let me know, either in this topic or via PM what you think, or if you see any problems.
Thanks!
Aaron
