Layers plugin request - or just good advice

hi,
I would love to have option to toggle on - off color by layer and color by material for each layer.
It could be very usefull for postprocesing in photoshop and may other things i think.
Or can it by done somehow?D.

You cannot change the style of an object based on it's layer. Styles are applied to the whole model.
