Next version will be "SketchUp 2013". When in 2013 it will be released has not been mentioned.

No, the new release will not need any new features. Just wanted to be current.

and I was so enjoying the ever ascending numeration, Sketchup 21 would have been due in 2050 (thought-based modeling plugin comes standard with install package).
I'm jumping out of my lopsided desk chair to see the potential of SP's next iteration, even if its only bug fixes it will be awesome.
I know little about coding but is it worth putting SP on Github and try to get a community of coders around to help Chris out?

They released SU8 M4 with the Trimble re-brand because their contract said so. That is the first Trimble release.

I have just recently installed that and it runs great. The desktop icon has changed.
I already miss the old one. All plug-ins work without problems.Looking forward to SketchyPhysics update. I have some future projects that it will be great for.

Look forward to any and all updates. I have avoided updating to the latest su release partly cause I can't bear to part with the Sketchy Physics Piano but would love to take the plunge so I could dive more into Layout.

SU 2013 doesn't appear to have any drastic changes - I hope it hasn't thrown up any hurdles to SP development? http://www.sketchup.com/products/sketchup-pro/new-in-2013
