Excellent tip, Jean! Sketchup's inferencing is definitely underestimated.

+1 Thanks Jean. SU looks so simple yet the tricks just keep coming. I didn't know you could get a parallel inference. πŸ‘

                Seems it's always V8 format! πŸ˜‰

But finally i found a computer with the V8 installated at my next door neighbor! πŸ’š

                Yes cool trick πŸ˜„

But see this epic thread about the insufficiency of the Rotate tool inferency! πŸ€“

Can't get it to work. Am I missing a step? At what point do you align the bottom of the protractor?

If I keep holding the LMB after I pick the rotation point, the protractor wants to rotate around an axis other than the blue.

The rotation around the blue axis is not the goal. It is the combination of

                      • define the rotation axis "the right way" (one description from Gaieus here)
                      • the linear parallel inference (e.g. here)

-> You can use the inference system from Sketchup while defining the roation axis

Unclear what B and C refer to: the points adjacent to A on the ground? Is the solid resting on a triangular face? Another view would help clarify its shape.

Is one supposed to be able to carry out the indicated operations on the provided file? Perhaps add the result of the rotation.
