Maybe the SketchUp team does their best to improve the exporter (a different SketchUp version, so changes can be expected). SketchUp is now nearer to the Collada Specs than any other software, but that doesn't mean that all other programs deal well with SketchUp's Collada (some other programs for example might only support triangulated geometry or no two-sided faces or have problems with multi-meshes).
Did you try the options in the export dialog? Maybe there is something that matches (or an option that is set different from SU6)
