Skm files in mac
-
Hi. New to this. I've downloaded some .skm textures and loaded them into the materials folder in Application Support/Sketchup/Library in my Mac. But all the files with the skm suffix are greyed out and it appears that my Mac doesn't recognize them. Have tried telling the Mac to open them in Sketchup, but then Sketchup is greyed out. Any idea how I overcome this? I'm using Sketchup 8.0
Thanks

hi and welcome to SCF,
theres two places you can put .skm files on a mac
system folder
/Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 8/SketchUp/Materials/Lysaght Custom Orb horizontal textures/custom_orb_dune.skmuser folder
/Users/your computer/Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 8/SketchUp/Materials/Pelle Rivestimento/Pelle Caffe.skmwhat you see is they both have a subfolder after materials and before the .skm
if you don't have a 'sub-folder' for your new ones, make one and see if that works...
