Tank Tracks

So ah, I like modelling tanks, but the one thing that always gets me when I try to model a tank is the tracks.
I want to create realistic, or at least detailed models, but the interlocking parts just scare me.
So for now, I have a bunch of turret and chassis models lying around waiting for a pair of tracks to make them whole.
So, does anyone have a guide, tips, or plug-in recommendations for tank-track modelling?

Maybe you´ll find it useful. Only native SU tools used. Not so good for close-ups, but hey...
BTW there are more than a few tank enthusiasts around here. I´m sure they´ll show up

there are a few tanks in this forum that are really quite good and describe their methods. search for tanks.
