      Hi,

I am new to sketchup, and I was wondering if there is a way to export xyz point cloud from an existing model?

To be more specific, I want to use the walk tool to go around in a given model, and where required, press a button to scan the current view and create a xyz point cloud of it , and finally save it to a txt file.

I know this can be done using ray tracing. From the given camera height, perform ray tracing in all directions (in spherical coordinates) and record the length of each ray.

I am new to sketchup is there anyone who can help me here? or give me some directions/ suggestions ?

      Best,
      Shashank
