Google earth terrain to 3d solid

I just imported the google earth terrain into the sketchup.
It's a terrain 2d surface.

What's the best way to make it into a 3d terrain solid? So that I can calculate how much earth it needs to get excavated (cut and fill calculation)?

When you have your surface just draw 4 vertical lines under it at the 4 extremities and make your volume

You can now make with it any thing you want

All with Tig Slicer and Tig Super Drape
