Help. need a Face divide plugin for an irregular shape

hello,
is there a currently published plugin where i can divide an irregular face?(similar to protrude plugin)
the protrude plugin seem to only work on rectangles. what i have in mind, is using a similar pattern but to an irregular face -
Can you post a screenshot or model sample of an "irregular face"?

Yes Prodrude divides only quadrangular faces !
But you can divide a big rectangle and make an Overlap + intersection with the form you want
a process maybe like this
A big rectangle divided by Protrude
Kill the faces (with the Selection Toy by Thomthom)
Overlap your irregular faces object
Select your object + big rectangle
Intersect selected
Select Only faces and Copy move
Not a big deal
If you want particular forms you can use the tricky Replace Randomly Components by Sdmitch
A process can be
A familly of "Source" components objects (say one square, one triangle, one circle) (can be any thing, any number of them)Draw the "Target" (a simple component square duplicated as an x,y gride)
Launch the Plug
Explode all
And remake the process above!et voilà
If you want not the 3 figures in free space like above, just draw the module "Target" smaller than the Source
