My goal with this is to redo it so it looks like it would work in the real world, for example if you look at the old you will wonder how does it take off, it has no visual evidence that it has VTOL capabilities but it was intended to, so this time around it will have thrusters to allow VTOL and the main engines wings will be getting a complete make over compaired to the rushed older version, once all done ill bring this into unity and create a very basic sim where you can test flight the end result via a webplayer, Once that is complete I will improve so you can have the view inside and fly it from a POV perspective all with animated components to add the realism, it will take a few wks to complete but it's something my son keeps asking, "can I fly it daddy" since it was him who inspired the concept I feel as tho it needs to be complete and give it virtual flight πŸ˜„

Looking good but the dark colors make it hard to see the lines/shape.

Great improvement in ordening and minalizing of the faces/lines!

Was your firtst model build by using 'follow me' technique?

No I user curviloft originally which didn't create the best geometry but now I'm creating it manually using vertex tools and it's coming along a lot better, πŸ˜„

I have the same difficulties with CurviLoft when trying to use it for such models. I too started using vertex tools/Artisan for this. Takes up some more time, but the results are way better, especialy file size/complexity πŸ˜„

                      Vertex tools FTW πŸ˜„

I agree, vertex tools is the new way of modelling in sketchup and it's very beneficial, with time I found i can model faster now using it and more effectively may I add πŸ˜„
