      Hi all. Long time..
I've done a little rooting around and searching; maybe I'm not using the right combination of words when searching..
Is it possible to preserve the colors in hatches from an AutoCad .dgw drawing when importing into Sketch Up Pro 8? Simply, I have floor plans in Cad with polyline shapes filled with colored hatches - is it possible to preserve all of that when importing into S.U?

      Many thanks!!

      Nigel

You could try switching on colour by layer in the layers box. I would avoid bringing in hatches at all however as they will clog up your model and make it very slow. It's better to bring in a simple line drawing and shade it in Sketchup. A quick way to fill faces is the 'make faces' plug in (http://www.smustard.com/script/MakeFaces).
