Overwhelmed! Plugins? Advice?
-
I think the title says it best. But, I'll elaborate a little.
I was just going through the plugin index. My head's spinning. Lol. I was told that as a beginner, I would soon enough discover the world of Plugins. Well, like I stated to that, I would imagine I would need some experience modelling before I started having specific needs for plugins, right. I checked 'em out anyways. I was ckeckin out a thread earlier of a model of an old house, and the guy had added a nice scenery in the background...ect.(Here---> http://g1205.hizliresim.com/x/5/5cqf9.jpg) It made me wonder if it was acomplished with a plugin.
Anyways,
So one of my questions is, are there ANY plugins that a newb should check out? Like MUST have plugins, you know? There are just TONS of them. And some of the names don't really explain what they're for either. One of the things I was wondering was possible, with sketchup, or a plugin, is something that would generate a ground area, so you could start designing a house according to the land layout? I hope that explains it a little, lol.
Cheers!

Yes that's right. You start to look for solutions after you have problems.

No. There are ways to put images behind your model (an image on a surface), or in the background (use Styles) of a SU file, or in a rendering program, or photohop, but plugins are not necessary--at least I don't know of one that serves such a purpose.
