Automatic page count in Layout

Is it possible to set up automatic page counting in layout? Some variable which changes automatically like in excel- automatic page Nr. Maybe automatic date. Would be very useful. Maybe even automatic file name (drawing name)..etc.,

No, and/but it has been requested several times already and hopefully one day it will either be incorporated into the core functions (should be there already) or at least LO will become pluggable and some nice rubies can be written for "small" features like this.
