      Hi there,
my problem isn't just about SketchUp but I was hoping some of you know how to use Kerkythea since it is a pretty popular program to use with SketchUp.

      So here's my problem:

I'm new to SketchUp and Kerkythea and to learn the basics I've watched a few tutorials.
I'm getting pretty familiar with SketchUp but when I wanted to begin with Kerkythea I faced a problem which I couldn't resolve by searching the fora/tutorials.

      Here's my problem:
I've created a model with SketchUp which I now want to render in Kerkythea. I've downloaded the kerkythea plugin for sketchup and tried to export my model (Thuis) to Kerkythea. So far so good, It created all the correct files (I guess): Thuis.kst, Anim_thuis (map) and TX_Thuis (map). Then it asks me to open the model directly in Kerkythea but nothing happens when I click "yes". I get a message that a file can not be created and that I need to check my permissions (which I did and are all OK).
But this is not the biggest issue.
When I try to open my model directly in Kerkythea by opening "Thuis.kst" I get a message that I can't read because it's to big for my screen. It sums up all my textures and such. I suppose it says they can't by found or something because my model is all black except for some models I donwloaded from the SketchUp warehouse, yet all my textures are located in the TX_Thuis folder. Kerkythea just can't seem to find them.
What am I doing wrong here?

A little help would be very much appreciated!!

Can you post a screenshot of the SU window with monochrome face style? (View menu > Face style).

Also, I do not understand these file types. the SU2KT plugin exports a single xml file and the materials (images) in a folder. This is how it appears to me (my file was "Untitled")

My faces are all OK I think.
          Here's a screenshot anyway:

This is what I get when I use the Kerkythea export plug in:
          folder

I've tried "Export Model" & "Export Scenes - Batch" render but both give the same result..

Yes, face orientation seems to be all right. Which button are you using in the export? It should be the very first: "Export model".

              Thanks anyway I guess!

In first post you did manage to export KT script (used example for camera animation).

I know this is an old thread, but I have the same initial problem as original poster. It only started happening when our office went from SU7 to 2013. However I used to get around it by saving back and opening the file in SU7 then exporting my model. Unfortunately SU7 is now creating the same problem. I should move to a more stable software, but have been using it for years now and is so quick with decent results.

I would love to know what causes this to happen.

Two problems I encounter with sketchup and KT relationship.

                      1. I get a failure notice each time I automatically export a scene from sketchup (I have to import an .xml file to continue work
                      2. I just can't view my saved renderings and scenes while on KT.

Big problem for me because I am in a mess at the moment.
