Problems with Smoove
-
Hi, my name is Anette and I'm studying landscape architecture. I just downloaded SketchUp Pro yesterday and I'm exited to finally get started with it. Unfortunately I've already encountered my first real problem. I created a grid from the From Scratch tool, and then created a form on it using the Drape tool. I was then going to try to create contours by using Smoove, but as soon as selected that tool SU went into non responding mode. When it came to again there were yellow "dots" all over the form, and it was not possible to see the Smoove "ring" anywhere. Selecting the form just caused the whole form to be elevated (and not get the mounds I was intending to get.) Anyone have a solution? Appreciate the help!!

It seems the diameter of your smoove tool is larger than your entire mesh.

Unfortunately that's not the problem. And as soon as I activate Smoove, SU goes unresponsice for a couple of minutes.

Can you show us a screenshot of what you are doing (preferably during that smooving procedure)? How big (dense) is your grid you created with the sandbox tools?

Have you explode the surface from scratch?
Try with a very little size of the smoove tool radius like 0.001 !
You must see selection on just some faces even just one yellow point ! -
Greetings,
I cannot make a smoove tool working on SU 2018.
Starting from scratch and editing a grid surface the Ssmoove Tools does not make any interraction with surface. A radius ans any other setting is set correctly. There smoove pointer does not make any vertices selection, etc.
I will be thankful for any helpful suggestion.
PS
Is there any possibility to reinstall a Sandox Plugin perhaps?
