I am trying to find a good source of good quality true 3D trees and plants. I have used the best I can find on the Warehouse but I really need more varieties as I am a garden designer.
I am happy to pay reasonable prices but looking at the first couple of pages on a google search seems to give you either ridiculous prices e.g. 40 euros for one tree or very low 2d quality.
      Can anyone help?
      Thanks

Thanks Mike, they have some excellent content but it does seem rather expensive at $695 plus an annual subscription. I think I must go into the tree building business!

I think that the cost is quite reasonable for a 1st class service also the CAD clean up plugin is excellent. The ongoing annual subscription is $100, so over a five year period, the cost would run to $219 per year, $4.20 a week or $0.60 a day. From my information, the model selection is continuously increasing also.

At the end of the day, one gets what one pays for and I also think a service like this would easily pay for itself quickly in saved 'search time' πŸ˜„

Mike I agree with Peter. Pricey if you are just wanting plants that in the end aren't that good considering they are mixed types 2D/3D and Textured / Untextured.

to me the answer is clear: Form Fonts. besides all kinds of 2D and 3D plants you can get models of any thing conceivable. their models are beautifully done and the yearly fee is not too steep: $199. their 3D plants can look like it – that is, they are 2.5D plants that look 3D – or be the real thing: models for which they modeled every single leaf.

Yeah the stuff on FormFonts always looks great and as Edson says their collection doesn't just stop at trees! I've always lusted after a few things but having to keep paying if there are only twenty or so things you want I'd consider you're better off with a one off purchase from evermotion. OR if it is just plants your after, a one off purchase of ONYX and you can model as many trees, versions and billboards with as much or as little detail as you want for ever!

I guess FormFonts' business model is working. They've got some amazing stuff on there. But I bet there are a ton of folks like me who balk at such a high, yearly price and just move along, where as they'd jump on a much more affordable monthly option. I'm sure FormFont has done it's research and figured it's worth roping in one big spender over a handful of people who won't pay. Just a bummer for us folks who aren't professional modelers and can't justify needing that many models on such a regular basis.
