      Hi,
I find myself constructing objects only to find that many of the lines and faces are not on the same layer as the object itself. I realize it's due to me switching layers as I'm building the components of the object and if I'd just stay on the same layer my problem would be gone.
However, I'd like to know if there is a way to reassign all of the lines and faces in a single step to a single layer?
      Thanks,
      Tony.

Tony, it is late at night here so I won't be too long (later we can discuss).

It is highly advisable not to put any "primitive" geometry (edges and faces) onto other than Layer 0 (the default layer). In fact, to avoid this, best is not to change the active layer ever,

Only put groups or components onto other layers (whose primitives "inside" will still remain on Layer 0.

Here is a plugin to default all primitive geometry onto Layer 0:

Move them there and never touch them again.

          Hi, Tony:
See if this link can help. Read the thread. http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=42320

EDIT: Just as I was replying, Gaieus got in first, but with a different thread? It's up to you 😄

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.
