Why are guides appearing?

I'm using Layout 2 and SketchUp 7. When I import my SU model into Layout and select a view in which guides are turned off in SU, the guides appear in Layout. How can I suppress them? Thanks.

I would upgrade first to Layout 3. Much more stable. In your specific case, you may have a differents style selected in layout from that saved in the model. I would check that first. If that doesn't work, I highly recommend doing the upgrade.

Thanks, Sonder. Do you know if there's a charge for upgrading? I'm not using any styles, and the default Engineering and Design styles don't affect the guides.

I can't remember. I believe the 7-8 upgrade may have been free. If not, I think it the last upgrade cost was only something like $90.
I would double check that the style you have selected in LO is the same as the style selected in SU. Some styles do show axis and guides.
