Cross hairs pivot point question
-
Is it possible to reset where our center point is on a mesh? The VW I am a part of has an editor program about to update. To get a mesh, say a hat or ceiling fan...in the editor and tweak its position, there's a gizmo that lands on the pivot point of the mesh.. generally in the axis crosshairs - which for some things is darn far away from where we might want to place something.
I know we can center our objects on 0 0 0 but can we move that pivot point? -
In Sketchup top menu Tools>Axes in the drop down. Or right click on the main axes to see flyout menu Place, Move etc. Is any of this what you are looking for? Move brings up a user interface for placement at specific xyz values.
Or select the whole model and move it to the Global Axes origin. -
ok.. cool, will give that a shot. Thanks
ETA.. sadly, although the axis move was successful, the .dae export didn't keep it there.
